Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
Staffing and Production Management
* Collaborate with other area supervisors and team leads to manage staffing assignments and prioritize tasks to meet customer demand and production schedules.
* Ensure continuous supply of components to the production line by communicating with stores.
* Meet all production targets outlined by KPIs and populate target boards to monitor daily progress.
* Address and resolve issues affecting production, including quality, performance, processes, equipment, materials, and labour.
Team Leadership and Development
* Direct team members to foster a multifunctional team environment with flexibility to cover all roles.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for resolving equipment and hardware issues.
* Conduct regular team meetings to align on targets, address assembly line issues, and promote a solution-focused work area.
* Drive a positive, can-do attitude within the team, emphasizing teamwork and high standards.
Quality Assurance
* Communicate quality requirements and standards to the team, ensuring adherence to documented policies and procedures.
* Complete required documentation related to business or regulatory requirements.
* Support and identify continuous improvement efforts with the Production Supervisor and Management teams.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions and ensure an FOD-free environment.
* Update production metrics and facilitate regular team communication to drive improvements.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, with prior leadership or supervisory experience.
* Strong understanding of production processes, quality control, and continuous improvement methodologies.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
* Problem-solving skills and the ability to address issues proactively and effectively.
* Ability to follow detailed assembly instructions, processes, and procedures.
* Knowledge of regulatory requirements and documentation standards in a manufacturing setting.
