The Royal Hospital Donnybrook is a voluntary, charitable organisation providing Post-Acute, Stroke Rehabilitation, Neurorehabilitation and General Rehabilitation services, Day Hospital services, Respite and Residential Care services to adults on a not-for-profit basis.
Purpose of the Post
This role involves working throughout the hospital campus to assist with meal preparation and service, adhering to hospital, food safety, hygiene, and statutory standards. It also entails maintaining clean areas related to the catering department, including ward pantries and dining rooms.
Essential Criteria
* Completed second-level education to Junior Certificate standard (level 3 on the Quality and Qualifications Ireland Framework) and obtained a minimum of six passes in the Junior Certificate Examination Ordinary Level or Higher Level, including Mathematics and English (or equivalent qualification).
* Requisite knowledge and ability for the proper discharge of the duties, with a high standard of suitability and management ability.
* QQI Level 2 Certificate in HACCP and working knowledge of basic food hygiene (HACCP).
* A minimum of 3 years' experience working in a catering environment within the healthcare or hospitality sector.
