Financial Accountant Job Description
Our client, a leading global pharmaceutical company, seeks a skilled Financial Accountant for a 6-month temporary assignment.
This role plays a vital part in their global consolidation process and financial reporting, requiring expertise in US GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and corporate accounting operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Month-end and quarter-end closing activities, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reports.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including FP&A, tax, treasury, legal, and audit.
* Drive process improvements, automation, and efficiency initiatives within corporate accounting.
* Analyze corporate spending variances and support the budgeting process.
* Manage internal controls to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX).
* Support internal and external audit requests.
Minimum Requirements:
* 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a multinational manufacturing environment.
* Accounting qualification: ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent experience.
* Expertise in SAP (HFM experience a plus).
* Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SOX compliance.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* High level of integrity and ability to manage confidential information.
* Proven ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
