Regional Manager - Connacht Our client, one of Ireland's most established hardware and building merchants, is seeking to recruit a Regional Manager for the Connacht Region, covering areas from Clare to Donegal. Reporting to the Head of Sales and Operations, this challenging yet exciting role will require the successful candidate to take full responsibility and ownership of 30+ stores across the Connacht region. You will oversee operations, sales, and overall member performance within the designated region. Your primary goal will be to drive the success and growth of the company by ensuring operational consistency, meeting financial targets, and fostering a positive and productive working environment. This job requires an experienced senior retailer with Trade / Builders Merchants retail management experience to influence, guide, and inspire the group in achieving the highest operational and commercial standards. Responsibilities for the job of Regional Manager include: Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve regional revenue targets, ensuring sustained growth and market competitiveness. Lead, coach, and support a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Monitor market trends and identify new opportunities, adjusting strategies to maintain a competitive edge. Build and maintain strong relationships with members, suppliers, and stakeholders to enhance collaboration and drive business success. Work closely with internal departments to streamline communication and improve overall member satisfaction. Represent the company at industry events and networking functions to strengthen brand presence and industry influence. Identify and attract potential new members, expanding the company's reach and engagement within the region. Develop and implement market expansion strategies to increase market share and drive long-term business growth. Key requirements and experience for the job of Regional Manager: A minimum of five years of senior management experience, within the Retail Builders Merchant, DIY, or Hardware sector is essential. Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth. Strong strategic thinking, planning abilities, and commercial awareness with a deep understanding of the sector. Exceptional leadership skills with strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Highly motivated, self-driven, and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
