Select Access provides compliance testing services for working at height safety equipment installed on the roofs of industrial and commercial buildings throughout Ireland. Equipment includes guard rails, fall arrest systems, access ladders and frames, Building Maintenance Units (BMUs), and roof light protection rails.
Due to our expanding workload, we are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Installations Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing installations at various heights, ensuring all work is completed in line with strict safety standards, quality protocols, and customer specifications. You will collaborate closely with our testing engineering team. This role is ideal for individuals with strong teamwork skills, an excellent understanding of safety procedures and a willingness to work at height.
Responsibilities:
* Perform installation of products, systems, or equipment at height, while adhering to safety standards.
* Consistently follow all safety regulations and industry standards while working at heights.
* Conduct pre-work safety checks and inspections, ensuring all equipment is in safe working condition.
* Utilise and maintain installation tools and safety equipment, including harnesses, ropes, ladders, and scaffolding.
* Ensure high-quality installation and finish for each project, conducting quality assurance checks to confirm compliance with specifications.
* Accurately complete and submit daily logs, safety reports, and work completion forms as required by the company’s tracking system.
* Collaborate with engineers and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
* Support product development and quality assurance teams with product evaluations.
* Adhere to company policies and regulations related to testing and reporting.
Requirements:
* Proven experience working at heights in an installation, maintenance, or a similar role (1–3 years preferred).
* Solid understanding of safety protocols and regulations for working at heights.
* Ability to use and maintain installation tools and safety equipment (e.g., harnesses, ropes, ladders, scaffolding).
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality installations and finishes.
* Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
* Good physical fitness and the ability to work at elevated heights for extended periods.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
