Sky Staffing Solutions is hiring on behalf of our client for the position of Chef de Partie based in Westport. This is an exciting opportunity for a committed and detail-oriented culinary professional to join a fast-paced kitchen environment and take ownership of their section. The role is ideal for someone passionate about food, focused on quality, and ready to grow professionally within a supportive and dynamic team.
Working closely with the Head Chef and wider kitchen team, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining food quality, upholding hygiene standards, and helping to deliver an exceptional dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Take full ownership of an assigned section and ensure timely mise en place for service
* Prepare and plate dishes with precision and consistency under the guidance of the Head Chef
* Maintain high standards of hygiene and ensure full HACCP compliance at all times
* Work collaboratively with both front and back of house to ensure a seamless guest experience
* Communicate respectfully with the team regarding dietary needs, special requests, and VIP service
* Support and mentor junior kitchen staff as required
* Ensure portion control and supplier sourcing are in line with kitchen standards
* Store and handle food in line with hygiene regulations and maintain temperature records
* Adhere to professional presentation standards, including personal hygiene and uniform dress code
* Report any operational or equipment issues to senior staff promptly
* Promote a positive, respectful, and team-focused working environment
Candidate Requirements:
* Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role within a quality-driven kitchen
* Passion for food and excellence in presentation and service
* Proven ability to work under pressure and maintain high culinary standards
* Solid understanding of HACCP and food safety procedures
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* Flexible with working hours, including weekends and shifts
* Consistent, dependable, and professional approach to work
