Health and Safety Officer
Health and Safety Officer required to join a busy construction company on residential and commercial projects.
Responsibilities:
1. Carry out Site Safety audits (Scoring version) at least once a week on all sites responsible for
2. Advise site management on Health & Safety (Rules & Regulations)
3. Co-ordinate training for site safety for site staff
4. Carry out safety training on site.
5. Report to Contracts Manager daily.
6. Report to Environmental Health & Safety Manager as required.
7. Carry out risk assessments as required.
8. Review and assist in producing method statements as required.
9. Hold regular site safety meetings with all sub-contractors on sites responsible for on a weekly basis.
10. The use of subcontractors on site to ensure that their work activities are co-ordinated to ensure the safety of all persons on site.
11. Monitor all health and safety activities on the project and report the findings to the Contracts Manager.
Requirements:
12. 2+ years’ experience in a construction environment
13. Ideally you will have gained experience working on a wide range of projects.
14. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, and strong interpersonal skills.
