EdgeTier is seeking a PostgreSQL Database Administrator who will take ownership of scaling our databases, optimising performance, and supporting our team in delivering top-quality products and services to our clients.About the RoleAs our first dedicated PostgreSQL DBA, you’ll be the expert at EdgeTier, responsible for maintaining, optimising, and expanding our databases. You’ll work closely with our CTO, Head of Engineering, and Product Managers to overcome complex data challenges and elevate our product capabilities. You’ll ensure our databases operate at peak efficiency, increase our application performance, and play a key role in architecture discussions. You take ownership of your work, thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment, and enjoy solving complex data challenges.You'll Need:5+ years of DBA experience, with 3+ years in PostgreSQL specifically.Experience in managing partitioned PostgreSQL databases.Nice-to-Have:Experience with AWS RDS and/or columnar databases (e.g., Redshift).The Ideal Candidate:You see projects through to completion and ensure high standards in your work.You’re adaptable and respond well to changes and new challenges.You work well with others and actively collaborate to achieve shared goals.What's the opportunity in this role?As EdgeTier’s first DBA, you’ll shape the future of our database architecture and have a tangible impact on our product capabilities.
