We are recruiting an experienced Sous Chef for a busy 4* Hotel in Cork City. We are looking for an imaginative and motivated colleague with a passion for cooking to add to our Client's Kitchen team. We are currently recruiting an experienced Sous Chef with experience in a similar role, i.e., a busy 4* Hotel with all-day food outlets, private dining, etc.
Responsibilities:
* Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner.
* Follow recipes and presentation specifications, develop new dishes with H/C.
* Take overall responsibility and manage the kitchen when the Head Chef is off.
* Maintain a hygienic kitchen and ancillary areas whilst adhering to health & safety standards and HACCP plan.
* Assist the brigade with the cleaning and organisation of the kitchen and equipment.
* Support each section as needed throughout each service.
* Be flexible; this is a very busy kitchen requiring structure and teamwork.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a similar quality food background and role.
* Experience working in a 4* Hotel with Bar/Bistro/Brasserie style outlets.
* HACCP knowledge and training.
* Certification from a recognised body is preferred.
* Flexibility to work with other disciplines within the kitchen and a team player.
* Current legal status to live and work in Ireland; no work permit available.
