This newly created role will form part of a high-performing team managing the overall pensions strategy, governance, and policies of current pension arrangements in the Republic of Ireland.
The organisation employs approximately 4,000 employees in Ireland and operates two trust-based Defined Contribution pension plans with combined assets approaching €300m. The pension plans are insured DC arrangements, with administration and investment management outsourced to the insurer. Both plans have a single professional trustee and a range of advisors and appointed function holders (as required under IORPs II). The organisation also provides Group Life Assurance and Group Income Protection benefits and operates a Flexible Benefits plan.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the ongoing governance of the organisation's current DC pension arrangements in the Republic of Ireland.
* Work with senior leadership to drive the strategic direction of the pension proposition.
* Support the management of all regulatory and legislative compliance matters relating to the pension arrangements.
* Manage key third-party relationships to ensure the best level of service for both members and the organisation.
* Oversee the management and resolution of pension enquiries from members, external service providers, and internal stakeholders.
* Lead the development and delivery of the pensions communication strategy, including how this fits into the wider financial wellness proposition.
* Manage the annual budget for pension governance.
* Oversee Group Risk Benefits, including Life Assurance and Group Income Protection. This includes working with brokers, handling renewals, and overseeing claims management.
* Lead and support on specific projects as required — recent examples include preparing for pensions auto-enrolment and conducting investment strategy reviews.

Qualifications & Experience:
* In-house pensions management experience or experience as a pension consultant within a leading employee benefits firm.
* Excellent understanding of day-to-day operations of trust-based DC pension plans.
* Strong knowledge of current legislation and regulations impacting DC plans.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Commercial awareness and strong delivery focus.
* Excellent stakeholder and project management skills.
