About the Role:
Are you a motivated sales professional with a passion for food and customer service? We're looking for a Van Sales Representative to join a dynamic and fast-paced team in a leading food manufacturing company in Sligo. In this role, you’ll be responsible for selling and distributing a range of high-quality food products to retail and foodservice customers, growing sales, and building strong client relationships.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Drive sales growth by introducing and promoting a variety of food products to retailers and foodservice businesses.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers to ensure repeat business and stay ahead of competitors.
* Identify new business opportunities and convert leads into loyal customers.
* Implement and monitor promotional activities and product launches.
* Provide valuable market insights to management, including competitor activity and sales trends.
* Maintain sales targets and ensure product returns align with company goals.
* Deliver excellent customer service by addressing client needs and resolving any issues efficiently.
* Manage in-store merchandising and shelf space to optimize visibility and sales.
* Actively participate in weekly sales meetings and share key updates with the team.
Team & Operations Support:
* Assist in training and mentoring new Van Sales Representatives as needed.
* Support the sales team in meeting key objectives and performance targets.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and health & safety regulations.
Requirements:
* A full clean driver’s license
* Must be flexible around working times 4am - 6am start times
* Experience in sales or merchandising in the FMCG industry
* Excellent oral and written English language skills
* Experience with hand-held technology
* Ability to work to tight deadlines
* Strong focus on providing excellent customer service
