Job Summary
This is a senior legal role that involves working closely with Corporate Head Office functions and Business Unit teams to advise on corporate, commercial, and strategic issues.
Main Responsibilities
* Provide senior counsel support to the Group Head of Legal and deputise as required.
* Play a central role in the development and evolution of the Group Legal Function.
* Adept a strategic and pragmatic approach to resolving commercial, procurement, and governance matters.
* Develop and maintain relationships with external legal counsel.
* Negotiate and oversee the drafting of commercial contracts.
* Advise on a wide range of legal issues including commercial contracts, corporate, competition, and compliance.
Requirements
* Minimum 10 years post-qualification experience in corporate/commercial law.
* Strong leadership and influencing skills in complex commercial situations.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* A can-do attitude and willingness to embrace uncertainty.
* Strategic thinking with ability to balance legal risk and business priorities.
Desirable Experience
* Experience gained from working/advising in dynamic commercially focussed organisations.
