Position Title: Payroll Administrator
Reporting To: Directly to Payroll Manager – Amy Maclean
Indirectly to all partners in the firm
Main Purpose and Scope:
The payroll administrator is a key team member of the O’Neill Foley team and works with a team of payroll specialists running weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls for a large volume of O’Neill Foley clients.
Main Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Running weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls for a large volume of clients
* Dealing with payroll queries from clients
* Preparing reports for issue to clients
* Electronic filing and distribution of pay records
* Dealing with clients in a professional, friendly, and helpful manner
* Addressing queries with clients in a helpful and professional manner
* Ad hoc duties from time to time as requested by manager/partner
Necessary Qualifications, Attitude and Experience
* Payroll / Bookkeeping experience
* IPASS Certificate in Payroll Techniques desirable
* 2 years in finance/practice environment
* Excellent attention to detail is essential
* Consistent, professional dress and manner
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* High level of competence with numerous IT packages, including but not limited to BrightPay, and MS Office
* Able to contribute positively as part of a team, helping with various tasks as required
Training:
* On the job coaching and training is key to gaining experience
* Payroll staff are facilitated to enrol on recognised courses in appropriate colleges
* Course fees and exam entry may be paid by the Firm
* Study leave/exam leave may apply
Location:
* Office based in Kilkenny with limited if any levels of travel to client premises
