Site Manager Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the construction of a €20M healthcare project in South Dublin. The successful candidate will ensure that the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
The project team will consist of a Contracts Manager, Project Manager, Site Engineer (x2), and a Health & Safety Officer. The Site Manager will be responsible for managing all construction activities on site, monitoring project costs, ensuring quality standards, and coordinating subcontractors and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and Oversee Construction Activities: Ensure the project progresses according to schedule and budget.
* Monitor and Control Project Costs: Labour, materials, and equipment must be controlled to stay within budget.
* Maintain Quality Standards: All work on site must meet required standards, with health and safety measures in place.
* Coordinate Subcontractors and Suppliers: Ensure timely delivery and adherence to required standards.
* Liaise with Project Team: Client, architects, engineers, and consultants must be informed about project requirements.
* Maintain Accurate Documentation: Daily site reports, progress reports, and quality control reports must be up-to-date.
* Provide Progress Reports: Regular updates to the project team and senior management, highlighting issues or risks.
* Identify and Resolve Problems: Major issues must be escalated to senior management as required.
Requirements:
* Experience: Minimum 5 years as a Site Manager on large-scale building projects.
* Contractor Experience: Experienced working with Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractors as a Site Manager.
* Trade Supervision: Experienced supervising all trades from groundworks to handover.
* IT Skills: Basic IT skills are required.
* Driver's License: Full Driver's License is necessary.
* Construction Knowledge: Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment.
* Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
* Leadership Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
