Area Description:
Our Technical team are at the heart of our business. They are responsible for ensuring we produce high quality and safe products for our Customers and Consumers while complying with all Legislative and Regulatory requirements for Food Processing. They aim to maintain our Quality Assurance Culture with all staff of O Brien Fine Foods which is continually reviewed for effectiveness and improvement, the key objective is to have all staff empowered and taking ownership for Quality.
Role Description
As the Shift Quality Supervisor within the Technical team, you are responsible for working closely with the Site Quality Manager in maintaining and refining the company's QA system.
Shift Roster & Working Hours: The shifts operate across a 7 day period Sunday through Saturday, 4 days on 4 days off, 6.00 am to 6.30 pm per shift.
Responsibilities:
Key statements which describe the major accountabilities or responsibilities and the expected end result.
1.Assist in training and Develop the Quality Officer Team.
2. Participate in all Quality Audits. Lead all audits in the absence of the Site Quality Manager.
3.Drive quality in terms of food safety and Product Quality resulting in improved audit results and reduction in customer complaints
4.Coach and Train staff on floor through documented SOPs
5.Conducting Traceability/Recall audits, reporting issues to production and working with production to drive improvements.
6.Dealing with customer complaints including Investigation and close out with production and quality team.
7.Management of the micro sampling plan, trending results and highlighting any issues to the Production cleaning team.
8.Management of the Calibration schedule for the site.
9.Management of Pest control programme for the site.
10.To work with the operations team to build in quality into our production processes to ensure we get quality right first time.
11.Cover for QA team holidays if necessary etc
Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Language Requirements
Qualifications:
A degree in a food science course or equivalent
Skills/Competencies:
A degree in a food science course or equivalent
Knowledge of HACCP systems
Knowledge of BRC, Bord Bia and TFS
Previous Experience:
Minimum 3 years experience
Languages:
Fluent English
