Position Description
Applications are invited for the position of Construction Supervisor (Programme & Projects), Portlaoise & Kilkenny, CD Central Region.
The Construction Supervisor is responsible for managing all line and electrical construction maintenance and faults activities assigned to him/her. All of this work to be done to time, quality, and budget requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Plan work and set priorities in line with Distribution & Customer Services policy and Business Rules.
2. Receive Construction work for the specified geographical area, with a particular focus on project and programme works associated with system improvement, continuity improvement programme, and public safety.
3. Ensure that all work is executed to agreed SLAs and standards.
4. Monitor ongoing progress and quality of work let to External Contractors.
5. Ensure that all team members are scheduled using the IWM system in the most efficient manner possible, minimizing disruptive influences.
6. Ensure that direct reports complete all work safely, on time, and to standard.
7. Ensure that all support systems necessary to complete the work are in place and operating effectively.
8. Ensure that all work is recorded as necessary for Asset Management Register.
9. Manage and develop staff.
10. Manage customer relations.
11. Carry out quality and safety audits - staff and contractors – as per agreed audit schedule. Give feedback on performance to staff and contractors.
12. Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Experience and Qualifications
Essential
1. Advanced Level 6 Electrical Craft Certificate or Equivalent Work Experience.
2. Minimum 5 years relevant work experience required.
3. Knowledge of Network Assets and Standards.
4. Project Management.
5. Understands and applies the relevant Quality Management Standards.
6. Demonstrates knowledge of ESB Networks Safety Rules.
Desirable
1. Knowledge of ESB’s IT systems.
2. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
3. Understanding of ESB's Group policies in all dealings with staff, customers, contractors, general public, etc.

Salary
Starting from €55,000 per annum.
