Job Description
As a Quality Engineer (QE) in our engineering team, you will ensure the quality and reliability of applications built on the ServiceNow platform, focusing on user experience and leveraging modern technologies and tools.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement QA strategies and test plans for applications.
* Create and maintain automated test scripts for frontend and backend components.
* Perform thorough manual testing and exploratory testing.
* Monitor and track defects, prioritizing their resolution.
* Work with cross-functional teams to align on quality expectations.
* Advocate for best practices in testing and stay updated on industry trends.
* Align testing with user experience goals and gather feedback for improvement.
Requirements
* 4+ years of experience with quality assurance and Java programming with Selenium, JUnit, and TestNG.
* Fluency with scripting in Java/JavaScript. Experience with Eclipse, Jenkins, Maven, and Git.
* Understanding of testing techniques (e.g., performance, unit, integration, automated), their strengths and weaknesses, and ability to use them to best effect.
* Ability to use tools (such as IDE, debugger, build tools, source control, ServiceNow instances, profilers, system administration/Unix tools) to assist with daily tasks.
* Experience driving cross-team technical discussions with an understanding of SDLC concepts.
