A new opportunity is now available for a Production Operator with a Life Sciences Multinational based in Blarney, Cork.
The Role The Production Operator reports to the Production Lead/ Production Supervisor.
The role will begin as a days-only role but is expected to become a shift role as demand increases.The Production Operator is responsible for the operation of Device Manufacturing equipment in an efficient and competent manner with due regards to safety, quality, documentation and GMP.
Machine operation includes on-going monitoring of machine performance and modification of specific machine parameters to ensure consistent quality and yield as per procedure, collaborating with other teams to investigate or troubleshoot issues with machinery, and the training and mentoring of other operators.
Duties Include: Carry out material handling tasks such as movement of materials from the warehouse to Production, storage/handling of WIP material, waste material handling, appropriate disposal of recyclable waste and packaging of finished product.
Support proper line opening and line closing through material control and proper machine set up.
Using computerised equipment and machinery as per procedure.
For example, SAP, MES etc.
Support the implementation of LSPS (Life Science Production System) and follow the 4 pillars of the system once implemented.
Support the qualification of new production lines as required, eg, FEAS, OQ, PQ Inspection of membrane and devices at various steps of the process as per procedure.
Follow sampling requirements as per TS/TM and record all results accurately using a high standard of GDP in our validated system as per procedure.
Ensure area of work is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and GMP at all times.
Completing documentation and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and GDP.
Maintain high housekeeping standards following 6s principles within the production areas.
Contribute to continuous improvement.
Meet goals and objectives as outlined by the company, ie, meet metrics on EHS, Quality and FPQs.
Support the creation and update of Production Documentation.
Achieve proficiency/competency as applicable.
Participate in sustainability efforts.
Escalate issues to the next level (technician, engineer, Team Lead, Supervisor etc) to prevent excessive downtime/scrap material.
Ability to work independently and effectively on a team.
Strict compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Be flexible and willing to learn all aspects of the assigned area/process.
Some overseas travel may be required for training purposes Who You Are Leaving Certificate or equivalent standard of education.
Demonstrate ability to learn multiple processes and provide mentoring to other operators.
Proven verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of GMP and Safety regulations.
Demonstrate Problem Solving ability.
Must be able to prioritise tasks.
Good I.T skills.
(MES, SAP, LIMs etc., an advantage) Ability to work independently and effectively in a team.
Ability to follow and understand procedures.
