We are located in the famed surfing destination and beautiful seaside village of Strandhill, Co. Sligo on the Wild Atlantic Way in the West of Ireland. The Honestly Farm Kitchen is the perfect spot to work a Summer season for surfers, and lovers of the outoors, alike. Strandhill is home to the National Surfing Excellence Centre of Ireland and numerous surf schools. We are surrounded by mountains, hiking trails and long white sandy beaches. We have an 18 hole golf course on our doorstep, a Sunday craft market and a lively music and pub scene throughout the Summer months. There is even a small airstrip with a flight school on the peninsula. The nearby city of Sligo hosts various music and arts festivals from April to September and is home to a thriving food culture.
Our restaurant, the Honestly Farm Kitchen is a popular location with visitors and locals alike and offers a unique farm to fork experience featuring burgers, wings, salads, sandwiches and daily specials. We cater to mainstream, vegan and free-from diets. Our menu showcases ingredients grown and produced on our own organic farm just a short drive away. We are now seeking an experienced Chef de Partie to join our team. You will be a key member of the kitchen team this Summer. Reporting to Head Chef Shaun, and working alongside a team of 5 in the kitchen and an experienced Front of House team, you will help deliver our seasonal menu throughout the busy and buzzy Summer months.
The Role:

30-40 hours per week 8th April to 28th September 2025 over a 4-5 day week (Can be flexible with start date)
€16-17 / hr.
Free meals on shift
Opening Hours: Monday to Sunday 9.30am to 7/8pm)
Relocation Assistance
Duties:
Prepare, cook and present dishes during busy service, according to our SOPs and to the highest standards.We make most of our food from scratch, so daily prep of meats, sauces, salads, falafel and savoury pastries, is a key part of the role.Control portion size and waste to maintain profit marginsCarry out scheduled cleaning tasks to the highest standards.Use our digital Kelsius system to maintain HACCP recordsAssist with stock managementFollow Health and Safety proceduresAssist with developing new dishes and specials.
Requirements:
At least 3 years experience in a busy kitchen
A food related qualification - essential to the role
Can lift heavy items
Works well in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrates an interest in sustainable food practices and great tasting food
Possesses excellent communication & multitasking skills
Willing to relocate to the Sligo area, or already live here
(Assistance with relocation can be provided)
Good conversational English

Benefits:
On-farm, subsidised, rental accommodation in lakeside cottage, is optional for applicants who have their own transport and wish to commute to the restaurant (approx 40 minutes drive). Lake frontage and use of kayaks/fishing boat etc.
