Process Technician - Cork
CREGG are currently hiring a Process Technician to work onsite with a leading multinational Medical Device client in Cork, working on the latest automated manufacturing equipment.
This role offers a 3-day work week with 4 days off.
Shifts - 3x12 hours per week, rotating from front end to back end every 4 weeks – Sun, Mon, Tue for 4 weeks, then Wed, Thurs, Fri for 4 weeks. Shift times 18:30pm to 06:30am.
Requirements
* Strong Electro/Mechanical background with hands-on experience with electrical and mechanical instrumentation. Experience in high volume automation/robotics is an advantage.
* Experience in Pneumatics, Electronics, Hydraulics, Programmable Controllers, Motors, conveyors, Vision systems, or workshop machining is desirable.
* Troubleshooting & Fault Finding breakdowns – Carry out scheduled & unscheduled Preventative Maintenance.
* Yield Management - Ability to manage yield on an hour-by-hour basis and analyze trends and identify opportunities for improvement.
* Problem Solving – Formal problem solving is desirable. Strong mechanical problem-solving skills are essential. Follow systematic root cause problem solving and troubleshooting to resolve issues.
* Experience in a Healthcare medical device manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
* Microsoft Office proficient – Able to analyze data in Excel and draw logical conclusions.
* Communication skills - Ability to explain and communicate issues effectively.
* Teamwork - Ability to work with Operators & as part of a Core Production team - Good interpersonal and communication skills.
* Proven experience in process improvements including tooling/fixture design, build, and implementation.
* Ability to work on own with minimum supervision.
Key Responsibilities
* Communicates any concerns about work processes regarding environmental impact, health, or safety issues to their Manager.
* Build Quality into all aspects of work by maintaining compliance with all quality requirements.
* Work with Manufacturing Engineers in developing, troubleshooting, standardizing, and improving existing production methods and procedures.
* Assist ME’s in investigating and implementing new production methods.
* Assist ME’s in design methods, part sourcing, and documentation.
