PE Global is currently recruiting a Project Accountant to join an Irish Semi-State Business based in Dublin South for a 12 Month FTC.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial control requirements of the Business Unit covering project budgetary control, periodic reporting, financial planning & forecast management, project controls, contract management, and funding cash flow management.
Responsibilities:
Project contract financial management.
Provide periodic financial reports – including commentaries on periodic variances.
Analysis and preparation of periodic accruals.
Produce periodic variance analysis reports.
Ensure effective internal controls operate within the business unit.
Identify & document improvements to control processes & procedures.
Budget, Forecast & 5 Year Planning preparation.
Provide information in accordance with the agreed reporting calendar.
Periodic Reports on third party performance.
Assist with auditing processes and procedures.
Requirements:
You will be a fully Qualified Accountant with 3 years Post Qualification Experience.
Experience in Project Accounting and Infrastructure Project Accounting is essential.
Excellent IT skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office & Excel.
SAP experience is an advantage.
Ability to work as part of a finance team and with technical project team members who are not from a financial background.
An understanding of contracts and contract variations and the procurement to invoice process.
A strong understanding of Irish Tax Law and the impact of taxation on project budgets and forecasts.
Demonstrated ability in the preparation of high quality, timely, and consistent financial reports for internal and external use.
Knowledge of public procurement is an advantage.
