This is a great opportunity to become part of an amazing team made up of volunteers and community scheme workers in support of the Shop manager.
This is an exciting time to work in Charity Retail, where we have a strong focus on contributing to a sustainable circular economy and helping people in need using donated preloved clothing, furniture and bric-a-brac.
We are looking for a self-starter, who is creative and has experience working in a customer facing environment, who will work closely with the Shop Manager to sort donations with a goal to optimise sales so we can better serve the community.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to step up in the managers absence.
Should you be successful you will be part of a network of 11 shops in the Northwest region.
Candidate Requirements: Education Ideally Leaving Certificate standard Experience At least 2 years retail experience ideally some of which will have been gained in the community/voluntary sector.
Skills Experience of working in a customer facing environment, be motivated, have excellent customer care skills, be a confident communicator and have a passion for helping people.
Excellent organisation skills A positive outlook with resilience and persistence in the face of barriers and setbacks An ability to display empathy, patience and a well developed sense of humour.
A keen eye for visual merchandising and display Self motivated and take pride and satisfaction in your own work Outgoing and energetic and enjoy working on your own and as part of your wider team Excellent numerical skills Willingness to work in a flexible manner and provide cover for the shop manager when required.
