Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Human Resources to lead and manage the human resources department, ensuring the continued success of the hotel through the development and well-being of its team.
Responsibilities:
* Leadership & Strategic HR Planning: Lead and implement strategic HR initiatives that align with the hotel's goals and overall business objectives.
* Talent Acquisition: Oversee recruitment efforts, ensuring the attraction and hiring of top-tier talent across all departments.
* Employee Engagement & Well-being: Foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
* Training & Development: Design and implement comprehensive training programs that enhance skills, support career progression, and maintain high service standards across all teams.
* Performance Management: Oversee performance management processes, including evaluations, goal-setting, and feedback, to ensure employees meet and exceed expectations.
* Compensation & Benefits: Manage the development and implementation of competitive compensation and benefits packages in line with industry standards.
* Compliance & Legal Requirements: Ensure adherence to all legal and regulatory HR obligations, including labor laws, health and safety, and internal policies.
* Conflict Resolution & Employee Relations: Resolve employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent treatment.
* HR Policies & Procedures: Develop, update, and implement HR policies to ensure alignment with best practices and the smooth running of the hotel's operations.
* HR Metrics & Reporting: Monitor and report on key HR metrics such as turnover, training effectiveness, recruitment costs, and employee satisfaction, and present them to senior management.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in a senior HR role, ideally as a Director of Human Resources or HR Manager with a minimum of five years' experience, within the luxury hospitality or five-star hotel industry.
* In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, Irish employment laws, recruitment, training, and performance management.
* Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to motivate, inspire, and develop a high-performing team.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
* Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
* A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
