Part Qualified Accountant
We are seeking a Part Qualified Accountant to join our growing finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Financial Reporting: Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
* Management Accounts: Support the finance team in the preparation and analysis of management accounts, highlighting key variances and insights.
* Reconciliation: Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, including bank, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
* VAT Returns: Assist in the preparation and submission of VAT returns, ensuring timely and accurate filings.
* Year-End Accounts: Support the preparation of year-end accounts and consult with auditors to ensure a smooth audit process.
* Cost Analysis: Provide financial analysis and insights to aid decision-making, including cost control and budgeting support.
* Cash Flow Management: Monitor and report on cash flow, assisting with forecasting and liquidity planning.
* Ad-Hoc Projects: Participate in special projects, system improvements, or process enhancements as required by the finance team.
Requirements:
* Part Qualified Accountant: Currently studying for a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent) with some practical accounting experience.
* Experience: Ideally 1-3 years of experience in an accounting or finance role, with exposure to management accounts, reconciliations, VAT returns, and financial reporting.
* Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices; proficiency in Excel and experience with accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Xero).
* Analytical Skills: Excellent attention to detail and the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
* Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders.
* Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and follow through to completion.
* Team Player: A collaborative approach to working with others in a team-oriented environment.
Salary:
&45,000 - &60,000 per annum, depending on experience
