Job DescriptionAramark Food Services is currently recruiting for an Operations Manager to join our team.
The Operations Duty Manager will work to ensure that all areas of people management, financial, food & beverage operations, visitor experience and client activities are met as per company requirements.
All aspects of this diverse and complex site will be in the daily responsibilities of the Operations Duty Manager answering directly to the Site General Manager.
Job ResponsibilitiesDay to day management of the whole site to a high standard, in line with client contract & General Manager directionMaintain appropriate financial information systems as required by Aramark IrelandEnsure that the correct daily cash procedures are followed including Petty Cash, lodgements, Safe Checks, etc are followed as laid down by AramarkEnsure the visitor experience is at a world class level across the whole site & all service & financial KPI's are metSupport the inhouse team in both Front of House & Back of House to ensure world class service is achievedWork with the General Manager & all other department heads to promote an inclusive and friendly workplaceProvide regular reports to the General Manager in regard to budgeted KPI's, Team Training & Development, Customer SatisfactionAdherence of all company procedures as outlined by Internal Audit team, HR team, OpX guidelines, Business Conduct Policy etc Ensure training for responsible service of alcohol is maintained and that all relevant requirements are fulfilled in relation to licensing lawsDirect responsibility for full quality and safety compliance, including ensuring adherence to the Food Hygiene and EH&S legislationPrimarily responsible for total site operating standards and quality and overall operational excellenceMaintain regular presence and visibility in all areas of the site owning the environment and attitude of the teamIdentify opportunities throughout the site and investigate potential growth targets with General Manager Support the General Manager in appraisals/CMP so that they are carried out for all staff on an annual basisRecruitment, Training and Development of all Staff in support of Departmental Heads on siteAwareness of and adaptable to the Seasonal realities of the businessOther duties as required by ManagementBuild and maintain excellent working relationships with all department heads as well as key stakeholders in the businessMonitor and evaluate the Facilities & Cleaning Team on performance and productivity, communicating weekly the facilities needs of the businessRequirementsAn approved catering qualification at diploma/degree level and/or 5 years industry experience, 2 of which were at Cafe management or department deputy level, preferably with a strong background in high volume tourism, hospitality/conference and banqueting/food service operation.
Experience of standalone Café P&L management and accountability with excellent financial and commercial acumen Experience of autonomous site or large Café/Restaurant management within the hotel/ catering/ visitor attraction/ contract- managed services industry A high degree of knowledge of Food Hygiene including HACCP, Facilities Management a plus A passion for fresh food and service.
The ability to manage in a diverse environment with a focus on client and customer service.
Ability to lead, motivate and develop a team Professionalism and the ability to present and report on relevant business information Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills.
Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
All back-Office systems in regards to Word, Excel, PP should be second nature, social media and booking systems knowledge a distinct plus.
Ability to successfully implement positive changes.
Prior detailed knowledge in the technical working and application of POS systems, AV and CC machines is imperative as this role will act as the main reporting position for daily operational issues & support needs.
Hands on in the team mentality.
A confident and relaxed communicator is essential as the role demands a calm and efficient operator to support the General Manager in the day-to-day operations of ALL departments.
