Accredited Counsellor/Therapists Required for HSE Counselling Primary Care Service
The HSE is seeking experienced and qualified Counsellor/Therapists to provide short-term counselling in primary care settings to medical card holders aged 18 years and over. This service, known as CIPC, operates under the governance of the HSE National Counselling Service.
Beneath this role, successful applicants may also have the opportunity to provide trauma-informed counselling contracts to clients of the National Counselling Service for adult survivors of childhood trauma, subject to relevant clinical experience.
To be considered for this position, applicants must possess specific qualifications and professional experience:;
* A recognised Level 7 qualification (QQI) in a relevant human science discipline or equivalent in a health and social care profession or health-related profession.
* Either:
o (a) A degree or post-graduate qualification in counselling, or psychotherapy recognised by one of the following bodies: Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP), Irish Council for Psychotherapy (ICP), or Irish Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapy (IABCP).
o (b) Full accredited membership with one of the following: IACP, IABCP, or a relevant body within ICP.
o (c) A post-graduate qualification in counselling psychology or clinical psychology recognised by the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI).
o (d) Commencement of the registration process with PSI or full registration with the clinical or counselling psychology division of PSI.
* A minimum of two years relevant post-qualification experience.
