Overview:
The Construction IT Alliance (CitA) is seeking a dynamic and creative Marketing and Public Relations Specialist to join our team.
This role is integral to promoting our government-funded initiative (named Skillnet MMC Accelerate) created to help upskill professionals in the construction industry through Modern Methods of Construction (MMC).
The successful candidate will work closely with a wider project team including content researcher, project lead, senior project manager, project manager, technology partner, finance and administrative support to develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies that engage our target audience across various platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketing Strategy Development:
Develop and execute marketing strategies that promote the Skillnet MMC Accelerate initiative, ensuring alignment with the project's goals andobjectives.
Content Creation:
Collaborate with the content researcher to create engaging content for various platforms, including social media, email newsletters, blogs, and the projects website.
Social Media Management:
Manage and grow the projects presence on social media platforms by creating and scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, and responding to inquiries.
Public Relations:
Develop andmaintainrelationships with media outlets, industry partners, and stakeholders.
Draft press releases, coordinate interviews, and manage public relations campaigns.
Event Promotion:
Support the promotion of events, including regional roadshows,possiblewebinars, and other project-related activities, through targeted marketing campaigns.
Analytics and Reporting:
Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns using analytics tools.
Adjust strategies based on data-driven insights to maximize reach and engagement.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the project team, including the content researcher, to ensure cohesive messaging and branding across all marketing materials.
Brand Management:
Ensure consistent and effective branding of the Skillnet MMC Accelerate initiative across all communications and marketing materials.
Budget Management:
Manage the marketing budget, ensuring that all activities are cost-effective and within allocated resources.
Qualifications:
Education:Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a marketing or public relations role, preferably within the construction, education, or non-profit sectors.
Skills:
Proven ability to develop and implement successful marketing strategies.
Strong writing and content creation skills, with an eye for detail and creativity.
Experience managing social media platforms and creating engaging content.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Proficiencyin digital marketing tools, such as Google Analytics, SEO, and social media management platforms.
Graphic design skills (e.g., Canva).
