Some of the areas of focus are advising construction companies while also shaping policy across public sector procurement contracts, home building, capital spending programmes, improving regions, improving the perception of construction as a contributor to the economy and showcasing the construction industry as a career of choice. Based in the Dublin office, this role provides executive support to the Director of Main Contracting Services within a small, specialized team.
About your new job as an Executive – Main Contracting job;
This role will involve supporting the director of main contracting in areas of policy and working on solutions for member issues. The role will involve a wide range of duties and collaboration with other departments in the organisation. Some of these responsibilities will include:
* Support the Director in policy areas and committees.
* Coordinate main contracting policy and business requirements.
* Promote main contracting across Federation teams.
* Conduct research, develop policy, and publish guidance.
* Present findings at meetings and industry events.
* Represent main contracting in policy committees and external forums.
* Develop initiatives with corporate partners.
* Manage events, maintain web content, and support member engagement.
* Assist with strategy, services, and business process improvements.
The successful candidate will have experience in ;
Candidates must have an interest in the construction industry and have a passion for improving the industry. Good customer relationship skills are essential, as this is a member-led organisation and providing solutions for the members is the number one goal of the organisation.
The key traits that the successful candidate will possess are practical, technically minded, personable, good communicator, eager, driven, innovative, and resourceful.
Experience in research and report writing, excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Strong presentation and public speaking skills alongside excellent verbal and written communication skills.
What’s on offer for this Executive – Main Contracting job
The salary for this role will be between €50,000 - €60,000 along with a minimum 5% DC pension and 24 days AL. The company prides itself on its flexible working arrangements and candidates can WFH two days per week. The office is based in D6 and parking is available.
