Junior Legal Counsel - 9-Month FTC
We are partnering with a fast-growing, innovative asset management company to recruit a Junior Legal Counsel on a 9-month fixed-term contract.

The Role
As Junior Legal Counsel, you will report directly to the Head of Legal and provide comprehensive legal support across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
* Regulatory Compliance: Monitoring, analyzing, and implementing new legislation and regulatory requirements, including UCITS, AIFMD, MiFID II, EMIR, SFDR, CP86, and outsourcing regulations.
* Fund Documentation: Drafting and maintaining fund-related documentation, such as prospectuses, KIIDs, supplements, and management company documents.
* Fund Approvals & Amendments: Preparing Central Bank of Ireland and CSSF applications for new sub-funds, managing post-authorization amendments, and supporting product development.
* Contracts & Agreements: Drafting and reviewing commercial contracts (e.g., investment management agreements, licensing agreements) and fund-specific documentation such as ISDA agreements and transaction confirmations.
* Legal Advice: Delivering pragmatic, business-focused legal guidance on issues related to Irish and Luxembourg fund umbrellas and governance requirements.
* Strategic Projects: Participating in regulatory and business initiatives as needed.
* Board & Committee Support: Assisting with board meeting preparations, including quarterly product committee meetings.
* External Representation: Representing the company at conferences, industry events, and fund association meetings.
About You
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
* Qualifications: Qualified solicitor in Ireland (or equivalent jurisdiction), with 3+ years of post-qualification experience gained in the Irish market.
* Investment Fund Expertise: A strong understanding of investment fund regulations and strategies, along with experience drafting fund-related documentation.
* Analytical Skills: Ability to conduct thorough legal analyses of complex topics and translate findings into actionable legal advice.
* Organizational Skills: Capable of prioritizing tasks effectively to manage high workloads and meet deadlines.
* Collaboration: A proactive team player who supports colleagues and shares work.
* Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with senior management and external stakeholders.
* Tech Proficiency: Familiarity with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
