We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Oversight & Governance to join our Transfer Agency team. This role is located In Dublin, on a hybrid basis.
BNY Transfer Agency provides fund administration services to a multitude of clients including Money Markets, Mutual Funds and ETFs. The Client Operations team provide both client service and oversight duties for and on behalf of our clients, including management of client queries, client escalations, supporting the offshore processing teams on complex queries and management of risk throughout the transfer agency process as identified in our reconciliation process. Servicing a limited number of clients.
Reporting to Head of Ireland Transfer Agency, assisting with responsibility for maintaining and implementing the Third-Party Management governance framework and supporting the Head of Ireland Transfer Agency in meeting their responsibilities, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
Assist with the implementation and maintenance of the group Third Party Management governance framework with respect to all third-party provider engagements to include outsourcing arrangements, ensure compliance with same across the department, and perform ongoing review of its effectiveness in identifying, reducing, controlling and reporting key outsourcing risks that impact clients and the business
Assist in ensuring third-party risk management and outsourcing policies and procedures adhere to regulatory standards. Responsible for keeping up to date with changing regulations in relevant jurisdictions and application of knowledge to role. Co-ordinate with Compliance, Operational Risk and internal / external audit to meet group and regulatory requirements.
Act as a point of contact:
For outsourcing related queries and provide guidance and training in line with third-party management and outsourcing policy, procedures and regulations to the internal clients and stakeholders; and
Between the parties to outsourcing arrangements, as required, and maintain a team spirit and collaborative approach
Oversee, advise and support all parties in the performance of ongoing monitoring and period reviews of Third-Party engagements to include outsourcing arrangements, to include on site inspections, and assessment of all proposed new engagements and maintain records of these outsourcing oversight activities
Identify third party management issues and risk trends, with attention to outsourcing regulatory requirements, at the earliest opportunity, agree remedial action and where possible implement best practice in alignment with favourable trends
Assist in maintaining the group records of Third-Party Providers and Outsourcing Registers, drafting and distribution of documentation for the completion of assessments, ongoing monitoring and periodic reviews
Continuously look to automate and develop the third-party management processes for efficient completion of third-party management governance
Assist in reporting to the Outsourcing and Risk Committees, the Boards of all outsourced service receivers and BNY on the third-party management governance framework
Prepare and deliver Client due diligence presentations as directed. Participate in client due diligence, RFPs or external third-party provider assessments as required
Manage, support and train other members of the Third-Party Management team as necessary
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
Third level qualification is preferred or the equivalent combination of education and experience
7+ years of work experience in Transfer Agency is required
Broad Transfer Agency knowledge in dealing, contact centre, cash settlements, reconciliations and client service is required. Wider experience within Fund Services is desired
