Your new role, what's involved:
This role is a critical leadership position within WSP’s UK and Ireland based mining business and involves the building and development of a client focused mine water treatment team. The UK and Ireland mine water business is globally connected to other WSP regions, and it is expected that there would be significant integration with other regional teams as part of the role. Support to the current UK and Ireland mine water team is also expected to be an objective of the service.
A key aspect of the role is strategic development of our client focused water stewardship initiative supporting our clients in achieving their water intensity and efficiency targets and sustainability objectives.
WSP strive to be consultant of choice for our client partners. This leadership role would involve exposure to and responsibility for developing both effective client relationships and purposeful solutions to their challenges.
YOUR TEAM
WSP’s Mining Team is a fully integrated, multidisciplinary and global team who strive to be the consultant of choice for our clients.
Our client base is global and we work internationally from all of our mining team locations. We have a mature client programme which services our key mining clients while keeping a diverse mix of projects from juniors, mid-tiers and majors.
Our Mine Water team is highly engaged in Water Stewardship as a key pillar to support our clients in their journey to attain their ESG and Net Zero objectives.
WSP’s Mining team has capacity to support our clients in all aspects of their development through to closure and reclamation. Our ability to form and achieve multi-disciplinary teams with experience across the mining life cycle and commodities allows us to effectively support our clients through the most challenging periods of their project development.
Our professional area networks (PANs) connect our professionals globally through and organised and interactive programme. This wealth of knowledge within our technical fields provides the resources to drive innovation in our business.
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
A minimum Bachelor level qualification in process or chemical engineering (or equivalent field).
Masters or PhD level qualification in relevant field.
A proven track record in building, developing, and leading Mine Water Treatment teams with a strong employee retention record and substantial demonstrable professional experience.
Demonstrated experience in client relationship management and business development with the ability to source projects.
Demonstrated leadership in HSSE through the implementation of HSSE policies and procedures and ability to positively affect the Health and Safety culture of an organisation.
Experience across various jurisdictions globally.
