A snapshot of your peer group:
Qualified with an IT Degree or equivalent.
3-5 years in an IT client facing role or Deskside Support.
Strong technical skills.
Strong problem-solving skills.
A good understanding of PC hardware and Windows operating systems.
Track record in managing small to medium sized projects.
The applicant should have a demonstrated capability to automate administrative tasks.

Here is what you can initially expect: Ensure proper tracking of equipment and software.
Ensure all incidents are properly logged and updated with sufficient detail for escalation.
Receive, log, distribute and follow up on all incidents escalated within IT.
Troubleshoot these calls to a satisfactory resolution.
Rollout new laptops and desktops to replace older equipment, and maintain the quality of the current PC fleet.
Document or update processes with the aim of optimising the service provided.
Maintain inventory of hardware including laptops, desktops and mobile phones.
Administration and support of the Mobile, Telephone and Voicemail Systems.
Support and maintain existing voice and data structured cabling.
Administration and support of the mobile device fleet (iPhones and iPads).
Create knowledge base articles.
Liaise with 3rd party suppliers in relation to telecoms and hardware issues.
Assist in resolving computer related and network related problems.
Providing 2nd/3rd level technical support to internal helpdesk.

You will be joining a team of 9.
The IT Deskside Support Specialist will join the KPMG Ireland IT organisation and provide 2nd & 3rd level IT Support to approx.
4200 staff across the firm.
The Deskside Team primarily operates out of our Dublin Offices in Stokes Place and the IFSC, however there will be a requirement for the successful candidate to attend our other offices in Dublin, Cork, Galway, and Belfast.
The primary responsibility of the Deskside Team is to provide a world class service to the firm by responding to escalated tickets raised by the IT Helpdesk.
All tickets must be resolved to a very high standard with supporting documentation and within agreed Service Level Agreements.
The Deskside Team provide cover to the business between 8am - 6pm Monday to Friday with occasional requirements to work out of hours or on weekends to complete project work.
