About the Role: The Northern Ireland Office is recruiting two Senior Policy Advisors to support the implementation of the Windsor Framework.
The successful candidate will work with the Cabinet Office to ensure the implementation of the Windsor Framework, supporting engagement with NI lawyers to develop innovative policy and handling solutions in relation to business, civil society, and political stakeholders.
They will also lead work on some of the bodies arising out of the Command Paper, such as Intertrade UK, and contribute to the NIO's contribution to growth and promotion of trade.
The role requires excellent written and oral communications skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders, including ministers. A track record of delivering complex policy and the ability to adjust to deliver against competing priorities are also essential.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Northern Ireland political and economic issues and experience working on or understanding of how devolution operates in Northern Ireland.
Main Responsibilities:
* Working with colleagues in the Cabinet Office to ensure the implementation of the Windsor Framework
* SUPPORTING engagement with NI lawyers to develop innovative policy and handling solutions in relation to business, civil society, and political stakeholders
* LEADING work on some of the bodies arising out of the Command Paper, such as Intertrade UK
* CONTRIBUTING to the NIO's contribution to growth and promotion of trade
Essential Criteria:
