As a key member of the Compliance team, you will be a trusted partner, promoting a culture of ethical conduct and ensuring the organisation meets its compliance, regulatory, and legal obligations. Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with the Head of Compliance to fulfil regulatory requirements.
2. Develop and maintain a robust risk-based AML/CTF/Sanctions Compliance Programme for the EEA, serving as the Deputy MLRO for FDA Ireland.
3. Work closely with Legal, Risk, and Compliance colleagues to enhance the firm’s Three Lines of Defence model.
4. Maintain and update compliance policies and procedures, ensuring controls are in place across all functions.
5. Advise and assist colleagues on compliance-related issues, promoting a culture of compliance.
6. Conduct monitoring and testing of controls and procedures in FDA Ireland.
7. Identify new regulatory developments and communicate their impact to senior management, recommending measures to address any gaps.
8. Oversee adherence to outsourcing requirements in collaboration with FDA Ireland’s service providers.
9. Support FDA Ireland in responding to regulatory requests and examinations.
10. Assist in the preparation of application materials for CASP authorisation and implement arrangements to comply with MICAR.
11. Provide compliance training to FDA Ireland and overseas colleagues.
12. Conduct risk assessments and prepare reports for senior management.
13. Review customer risk assessments and report findings to external bodies.
14. Collaborate with colleagues in the UK and US to develop comprehensive compliance arrangements.
Skills:
1. Relevant related experience in a compliance or regulatory role.
2. A commitment to the highest standards of honesty and integrity, meeting fit and proper standards.
3. Exceptional analytical and communication skills.
4. Expertise in AML/CTF/Sanctions, with in-depth knowledge of applicable requirements (CJA, EU AML Directives).
5. Proven experience in identifying, assessing, and managing financial crime risks.
6. Subject matter expertise in regulatory requirements, including MICAR, Market Abuse, Outsourcing, Conflicts of Interest, Individual Accountability Framework, and more.
7. Strong influencing skills to engage key decision-makers through knowledge and relationship-building.
8. Experience in drafting policies, procedures, and training materials.
9. Ability to analyse and interpret regulatory guidance to support business initiatives and advise leaders effectively.
10. Experience in digital assets, custody, or trading environments is a plus.
