Your role will involve detailed cost estimation, thorough examination of quantities, and proactive claim settlement progression. Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Drive technical excellence through effective identification and scoping of work.
2. Analyse repair/reinstatement costs and negotiate costs/contracts/schedules.
3. Ensure compliance with regulations and quality standards.
4. Calculate quantities and costs for materials, labour, and timeframes.
5. Prepare tender packages including bills of quantities.
6. Manage risk, value engineer, and cost control measures.
7. Conduct feasibility studies to evaluate proposed projects.
8. Involvement in all aspects of residential and commercial claims.
Skills & Experiences:
1. Insurance qualification (APA/CIP) is desirable but not essential, as appropriate training can be provided.
2. Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying.
3. High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication.
5. Strong maths, numerical, and data analysis skills.
6. Project management capabilities.
7. Understanding of engineering and construction principles.
8. Knowledge of market rates/trends.
9. Excellent negotiation skills.
10. A high degree of flexibility and self-motivation.
