About the Role
The Credit Analyst plays a key role in managing credit risk and opportunity within the business, reporting to the Credit Manager.
Critical responsibilities include making credit line decisions, managing customer risk, collaborating with various departments, leading credit reviews, setting customer credit terms, and building strong working relationships to support the overall financial performance of the company.
This requires a candidate who is detail-oriented and analytical, self-motivated and results-driven, and eager to expand their skills and knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage credit decisions and collections, maintaining high standards.
* Review and agree on customer credit terms and limits.
* Oversee legal cases and liaise with debt collectors as needed.
* Collaborate with the credit control team on credit term reviews and repayment plans.
* Work closely with sales and area managers to ensure timely debt collection.
* Resolve disputed accounts and negotiate payments in line with terms.
* Ensure compliance with company credit policies, procedures, and SOX regulations.
* Produce reports and identify performance statistics.
* Train new employees on department SOPs and KPIs.
Requirements
A minimum of 2 years experience in credit or accounts, along with strong communication and interpersonal skills, proven negotiation skills, and high proficiency in Excel. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 AX is an advantage.
