Technical Sales Executives - ROI
This employer is a manufacturer, wholesaler and distributor of bespoke construction-related products and are experts in aluminium roofing and ventilation products with many decades worth of experience working closely with building contractors, roofers and architects advising them on technical aspects, product requirements and building regulations relating to roofing.
With very close ties to some of the leading producers in the industry, they stock and distribute throughout Ireland and the UK.
The role involves growing and managing sales, reporting directly to the National Sales Manager, and primarily sourcing new customers within each region. The key priority is to drive growth through building lasting relationships with clients such as building contractors, roofers, rainwater goods installers and architects.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* Servicing existing accounts, submitting prices, obtaining orders, and establishing new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedules to call on existing or potential customers.
* Submitting orders by referring to price lists and providing drawings and measurements for approval;
* Recommending changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments;
* Resolving customer queries by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management;
* Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies;
* Providing historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales.
We are seeking someone with 3+ years of experience in the roofing / rainwater installation industry, though technical experience in other industries may be considered. Key skills include being people-oriented, having excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to train and explain technical concepts.
