Logistics Manager
The Logistics Manager is responsible for ensuring planning and optimization of routes, management and training of the team of drivers, management of third-party logistics, and liaison with Customer Service.
Key Duties:
•Overall responsibility for planning efficient routes for all deliveries
•Keep up to date with all runs to ensure efficient use of capacity and reduce idle time.
•Effective communication providing clear and accurate information to our drivers and third-party logistics.
•Manage relationship with third-party logistics partners.
•Ensure that data within our Logistics Management software is kept up to date.
•Fleet maintenance and monitoring to ensure compliance.
•Review cost of maintenance & repairs and make sure company gets best value for money.
•Monitor damage and report to management as necessary completing incident report forms where required.
•Train and mentor new drivers and analyze manpower to ensure that all routes have sufficient cover.
•Assist in recruitment of new drivers.
•Ensure SOPs are in place and kept up to date for all logistics activities.
•Be available to handle ad hoc emergency situations out of hours.
•Ensure team exceeds targets and KPIs and present KPIs in weekly meeting.
•Other logistic-related tasks required that may arise as part of the normal day-to-day running of the business.
The successful candidate will have;
•Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role
•Strong analytical skills
•Excellent problem-solving skills, planning, and organizational skills
•Qualification in Logistics/or relevant discipline
•A team player with a flexible, positive attitude towards work
•Excellent interpersonal/communication skills with good written and spoken English
•Ability to use initiative and work well under pressure and to deadlines
•Over 25, with a full clean EU or Irish Driving Licence.
