Your new company HAYS Architecture & Design NI is working in collaboration with a well-established multi-disciplinary practice, based on the border between Newry and County Louth, in their search for an experienced Architect or Architectural Technologist.
Having built an enviable reputation for expert delivery across multiple sectors for over 25 years, they command a broad client base spanning government-backed schemes and commercial (including developers and builders).
With depth and diversity in terms of pipeline schemes, and a robust growth model to help talented Architects / Architectural Technologists broaden and build their careers, this is an eye-catching opportunity for those feeling stagnated in their current position, or indeed traveling further afield and looking for a return to a local specialist in the Architectural / Design sector.
Your New Role
You will be responsible for leading projects on design-led projects covering all RIBA stages, with authority over designing and delivering projects with an emphasis on design excellence.
You will chair design meetings, liaise with contractors/subcontractors/third-party consultancies throughout the lifecycle of schemes within your jurisdiction, utilizing your strong technical and communication skills to ensure smooth completion within timeline and to specification.
Depending on your level, you will also be part of the studio-wide mentorship of junior staff.
What You Will Need to Succeed
You will be a proven job-runner, or at the stage of moving quickly into a job-running position.
You will be a registered Architect or Architectural Technologist with 3-5+ years post-qualification experience.
Ideally, you will have completed projects in RoI, but this is non-essential - more important is familiarity with UK/RoI building regulations and planning processes, a profound understanding of construction methodologies and a broad grasp on Architectural software (Revit/AutoCAD etc.).
You will be a proactive individual, with strong self-motivation and the capacity to work both independently and as part of a wider team.
You should have a depth of knowledge of contract administration, public & private projects, and managing design teams at large.
BIM experience is advantageous but again non-essential.
This practice provides some flexibility in relation to working patterns, but it is expected that the successful applicant will be committed to fulfilling an in-office position - i.e., this is not a fully remote position.
What You Will Get in Return
A full-time position with a flourishing practice in a conveniently located part of Ireland with access to both RoI & NI markets.
With development and progression a fundamental part of this studio's offering - this should appeal to those looking for a progressive career move.
Along with a competitive salary of circa £40-50k (plus benefits), you will avail of attractive office space, eye-catching projects and continual professional development.
