As part of Gartner’s Corporate Assurance Practice, you will join a dynamic team focused on advising Legal, Risk, Compliance and other assurance leaders on emerging technologies, vendors, market trends, and best practices related to governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) systems, regulatory tracking and intelligence technology, quantitative risk management and analytics, and compliance risk monitoring and mitigation.
This role will meaningfully expand coverage for the practice, and we are looking for an entrepreneurial, initiative-taking, and ideas-driven individual to help serve clients related to the topics below.
What you’ll do
* Create insightful and actionable research, and provide Chief Compliance & Ethics Officers and other legal, compliance and risk leaders with best practices and advice on the best opportunities presented by sound processes and technology including: Governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) systems, regulatory tracking and intelligence, how to assess and select fit for purpose systems, using analytics to measure and predict compliance risk, and how to use data and other sources to report on compliance risks.
* Deliver high quality actionable advice through face-to-face and video-based presentations and discussions with clients.
* Remain ahead of the curve on developments and issues within these specified areas by understanding the broader market and ecosystem related to GRC, IRM, and compliance risk management and analytics, partnering with experts internally, and learning from our clients’ practices.
What you’ll need
* 10+ years of experience within GRC, regulatory, and compliance risk management and analytics or related fields (in a corporate, consulting, research, or other setting)
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
* Experience and interest in advising, presenting to and writing for senior levels of an organization (e.g., Chief Compliance & Ethics Officer, GC, Head of Risk/ERM, CEO and Board of Directors)
* Knowledge of and experience with the chief compliance officer role, the obligations and requirements of compliance & ethics programs, and compliance risk management (risk assessment processes, key stakeholders involved, etc.) in general.
* Working knowledge of the vendor market, functionalities, and capabilities for GRC and Regulatory tracking and intelligence systems.
* Familiarity and experience with primary vendors in this space (e.g., SAP GRC, IBM OpenPages, RSA Archer) and near-neighbor vendors.
* Familiarity and experience with third party due diligence and risk management systems, processes, and vendors desirable but not required.
* Ability to conduct occasional travel regionally.
