We are currently seeking a highly-motivated Staff Grade Speech and Language Therapist to join our team in CHO 8 Meath CDNT 4 Dunshaughlin / Bettystown.
Contract Type: Permanent Full Time
Contract Hours: 35 hours per week
Salary Scale: €43,276 to €57,653 pro rata per annum. Salary scales are subject to LSI’s (Long Service Increments)
Annual Leave Entitlement: 32 days pro rata per annum and proportionately less for less than 12 months service.
Overview of the Post:
The post holder will be responsible for the provision of a Speech & Language Therapy service to include assessment diagnostics and intervention and ongoing service delivery to children with a range of disabilities. Services are provided to children aged 0 – 18 years with physical, sensory, learning disabilities, developmental delay and autism. The role will include providing services to children in special schools.

The successful candidate will have:
1. Be registered, or be eligible for registration, as a Speech & Language Therapist by the Speech & Language Therapists Registration Board at CORU (https://www.coru.ie/).
2. Provide proof of Statutory Registration on the Speech & Language Therapist Register maintained by the Speech & Language Therapists Registration Board at CORU before a contract of employment can be issued.
3. Annual Registration: On appointment, practitioners must maintain annual registration on the Speech & Language Therapists Register maintained by the Speech & Language Therapists Registration Board at CORU.
4. Be eligible to work in the state.
5. Valid driving licence for within the state / jurisdiction with access to own transport in order to deliver services across a large geographical area.
6. 6 months experience working with children with disabilities and complex needs.
7. Postgraduate experience and/or training working with children with Feeding, Eating, Drinking & Swallowing (FEDS) needs.
8. Experience in conducting Assessment of Need assessments.
9. Experience of conducting Autism Spectrum Disorder Diagnostic Assessments.
10. Experience in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC).
11. Experience in working with children on the Autism Spectrum.
12. Experience of working with children with disabilities.
13. Paediatric Feeding, Eating, Drinking and Swallowing (FEDS) Qualification.
