Position Summary:
The purpose of the role is to work collaboratively with the Category Manager to drive and maximise the commercial opportunity within Tesco Ireland (and any other FMCG retail opportunities as they may arise).
High Level Responsibilities:
1. To develop and deploy a joint rolling business plan with Tesco Ireland to optimize sales.
2. To work continually to ensure Exertis margin and GP targets are hit on a monthly/quarterly basis.
3. To develop and maintain strategic long-term sustainable relationships with all relevant vendors.
4. To continually strive to add value to the Tesco consumer division on all relevant Exertis products.
5. Working closely with the Category Manager to ensure excellent relationships are maintained with all key Tesco stakeholders (HO, DC and Store Managers).
6. Deliver the highest levels of professionalism & accuracy.
7. Regular meetings with all vendor partners to ensure the above is achieved.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Focus on developing and managing a rolling monthly/quarterly Clubcard promotional plan to ensure both Exertis and Tesco KPIs are hit.
2. Qualifying product nominations, product offers and promotional details for presentation monthly to the Tesco HO team.
3. Regular stock and sales analysis in conjunction with Tesco team to ensure effective and robust stock management and stock availability.
4. Working closely with Tesco Category Manager and Consumer Vendor Manager to continually evaluate potential new vendor partners and/or new products.
5. Managing the process from end to end including product selection.
6. Working closely with the Tesco Category team to develop the optimum product offering for the Tesco consumer in a timely manner to ensure Tesco sign off, stock management and execution of the offer to deliver the maximum sales results.
7. Working closely with the Tesco Category team to ensure a robust exit strategy is in place post the promotional end dates.
8. In conjunction with the Tesco Category team, meeting with all key vendors to ensure they are aware of the promotional opportunities and respective timelines in Tesco Ireland.
9. Coordinating and managing the point of sale and the merchandising briefs to ensure all promotions are delivered in full.
10. Maintain appropriate confidentiality of information made available by performance of this role by both Tesco & Exertis.
11. To play a pivotal role in design, funding and sign off process for all POS produced for Tesco estate, both outsourced and in-house by Exertis for in-store execution.
12. To play a pivotal role in design of annual Tesco Christmas Gift Guide working with key stakeholders such as vendors, designers etc.
