Support Design Engineers in all aspects of the design, characterisation and release of RF & Microwave Components **Key Responsibilities:** • Perform prototype and pre-production testing of RF & Microwave components. • Perform temperature testing on RF and Microwave components. • Assist in developing new hardware and software setups for RF circuit test. • Accurately record, document, and file, test results for internal and customer use. • Maintain the Engineering lab, consumable purchases and repairs, and general lab tidiness. • Assist in New Product Introduction and other engineering queries. • Source materials for new designs. **Key Competencies and Skills Required:** • Basic understanding of RF concepts • Computer literate • Be able to communicate engineering concepts clearly and concisely. • Good planning and organisational skills and ability to prioritise • Deadline and detail oriented, ability to learn in a dynamic environment working with new types of test equipment and software. • Experience using Microsoft Excel for data analysis and plotting. • Good interpersonal and communications skills • Ability to work well in a team environment **Qualifications and Experience:** • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or similar studies • Experience with RF design OR • Prior engineering related experience/Co-Op/internship **Desirable Experience:** • Experience with operating basic test equipment such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, network analyzers and spectrum analyzers desired. • Ability to read and understand board schematics, basic circuit designs, and layout drawings to understand test system and device operations for troubleshooting. • Basic software experience (writing, editing, debugging scripts, VB/C/C++ etc.). • Experience with RF/Microwave CAE tools such as Microwave Office and/or Advanced Design System.
