They are seeking a Store Manager to oversee operations of a well established busy store in North Donegal.
The Position
As the Store Manager, you will ensure the efficient and effective operation of the store, leading a team to provide outstanding customer service and a top-tier fresh food offering. You will be responsible for achieving sales targets, maintaining high operational standards, and fostering a positive work environment.
Key responsibilities would include:
* Oversee daily store operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
* Ensure the store complies with all health and safety regulations.
* Maintain outstanding store conditions and visual merchandising standards.
* Lead, motivate, and develop store staff to deliver exceptional customer service.
* Conduct regular staff meetings to align the team with store goals.
* Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive work environment.
* Address customer inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally.
* Ensure all employees always provide customers with the best service and fresh food offerings.
* Set, monitor, and achieve sales targets, including gross profit margin, net margin, and waste reduction.
* Prepare detailed reports on buying trends, customer requirements, and profits.
* Manage inventory levels to ensure product availability and minimize waste.
* Ensure merchandising and presentation of the entire store are of the highest standard and in accordance with relevant planograms and guidelines.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships within the local community.
* Engage with new initiatives and embrace innovative ways of working.
The Person
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in a retail management role, within the grocery sector.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Proven track record in achieving sales targets and managing budgets.
* Proficiency in inventory management and merchandising.
