Become a part of our committed Transmission & Distribution team, where we provide comprehensive transmission and distribution engineering services for high voltage (HV) infrastructure projects. Our expertise spans project management, engineering design support, technical grid feasibility, project planning, tendering, procurement, and construction monitoring.
The team specialises in:
* High Voltage (HV) Transmission Substation Design: The team has extensive expertise in designing HV transmission substations, including primary plant, cables, and SCADA systems, ensuring robust and reliable infrastructure.
* Project Management: The team excels in managing complex HV infrastructural projects, from initial feasibility studies and planning to execution and construction monitoring, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
* Technical and Commercial Proposals: The team is skilled in developing high-quality technical and commercial proposals, negotiating contracts, and managing the procurement process, ensuring successful project bids and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
* Project Management: Overseeing the entire lifecycle of HV projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
* Engineering Design Support: Offering technical expertise in the design of HV transmission substations, including primary plant, cables, and SCADA systems.
* Technical Grid Feasibility: Conducting studies to assess the feasibility of integrating new projects into the existing grid infrastructure.
* Project Planning: Developing detailed plans for the execution of HV projects, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management.
* Tendering and Procurement: Managing the procurement process, from preparing technical specifications to evaluating tenders and selecting contractors.
* Construction Monitoring: Supervising the construction phase to ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines.
* Commercial Performance: Ensuring the financial aspects of projects are managed effectively, including budgeting, cost control, and performance reporting.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
* Project Management: Proven ability to manage medium and large HV transmission projects safely, to the right quality, on budget, and on schedule.
* Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of high voltage transmission substation design, including primary plant, cables, SCADA, technical specifications, tender evaluation, and construction monitoring.
* Client Relationship Management: Demonstrable experience in managing client relationships, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction, and resolving issues promptly.
* Team Leadership: Experience in managing a multidisciplinary team, including performance management, training, and promoting a safety and quality management culture.
* Commercial Acumen: Knowledge of commercial contracts, budgeting, cost control, and managing the commercial performance of projects.
* Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, written, presentation, report writing, and negotiation skills to effectively engage with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
* Driving License: Hold a full driving license and have own car.
These skills are crucial for successfully managing complex HV infrastructural projects and maintaining strong client relationships.
* Experience in Extra High Voltage (EHV): Familiarity with EHV systems, particularly 220KV and 400KV, is advantageous.
* FIDIC Conditions of Contract: Knowledge and experience with FIDIC conditions of contract can be beneficial for managing project contracts.
* Feasibility Studies: Experience in conducting feasibility studies for HV transmission projects.
* Procurement Management: Expertise in managing procurement processes, including tender evaluation and contract negotiation.
* Multi-Contract or EPC Projects: Experience in project management and/or programme management of multi-contract or Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) infrastructure projects.
Qualifications
* Engineering Degree: NFQ Level 8 Engineering Degree qualification or equivalent work experience.
* Chartered Engineer Status: Having a recognized Chartered Engineer status.
Location
This role is based in E&MP Dublin office but travel to project locations as required is a key requirement of the role.

€69,000 to €81,000 per annum
