Role: Inventory Systems & Continuous Improvement Specialist Salary: €40,000 €50,000 Duration: Permanent Location: Rathcoole, Dublin Inventory Systems & Continuous Improvement Specialist Leading logistics and distribution organisation based in Rathcoole, Dublin,is seeking an experienced Inventory Systems & Continuous Improvement Specialist to support operational excellence through effective inventory control and strategic process improvements. This role is essential in maintaining system accuracy, minimising stock variances, and driving long-term efficiencies across warehouse functions. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with warehouse, supply chain, and IT teams to monitor inventory performance, troubleshoot discrepancies, and implement sustainable process enhancements. Responsibilities: Maintain accurate inventory levels through regular cycle counts and system updates Oversee and manage system-based inventory control processes to ensure optimal stock accuracy and availability Monitor and analyse inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions Drive the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives across warehouse and inventory functions Work closely with warehouse, procurement, and operations teams to align system data with physical stock Use data analysis to identify patterns and trends, making recommendations for operational efficiencies Develop and maintain SOPs and inventory control documentation in line with best practices Provide training and support to operational staff on inventory systems and procedures Act as the key contact for internal audits related to stock accuracy and system integrity Support and lead projects involving process mapping, KPI tracking, and Lean methodology Liaise with system vendors and IT departments to ensure optimal configuration and performance of inventory tools Requirements: Experience in a similar inventory control or systems role within a supply chain or logistics environment Strong proficiency in ERP or WMS systems (e.g., SAP,SAGE,Oracle, Manhattan, NetSuite) Demonstrated experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across departments and levels Comfortable managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment A continuous improvement mindset with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities Relevant qualifications in supply chain, logistics, operations management, or similar field desirable What to do next: If youre interested in this role, click apply now.
