Our client is a global technology company.
Role:
As a member of the Information Security team, this role proactively allows to manage and monitor the clients IT infrastructure and cloud computing services for Network security and participates in any needed investigations and resolution for the enterprise. The successful candidate will also be assisting with other security related tasks such as vulnerability management and administration, configuration, and deployment of security solutions.
Responsibilities:
1. Research, evaluate, develop, and implement security solutions and standards following industry best practices.
2. Ensure that current and planned technical solutions are compatible with the company's business needs and strategic objectives.
3. Operate the production environment security toolsets and services.
4. Work with other teams to design, develop, and implement Enterprise Security solutions in support of development, test, and production environments.
5. Provide technical security expertise and assistance to other IT and Business groups.
6. Perform security audits and testing and evaluates system security configurations to ensure efficacy and compliance with policies and procedures.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering preferred or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
2. 10-15 years of experience with security processes and solutions.
3. Strong understanding of current security threats, techniques, and landscape, as well as a dedicated and self-driven desire to research current and emerging threats in the information security landscape.
4. Deep knowledge in Firewalls /VPN Technologies.
5. Conceptual and practical understanding of IT Infrastructure designs, technologies, products, and services. This should include an understanding of Information Security concepts which apply to them.
6. Ability to work in a group setting and independently.
7. Experience with IT ticketing systems.
8. Good working knowledge in scripting language, Python, PowerShell, etc.
9. Experience with a Security Information Event Management.
10. Strong understanding of Wireshark as well as Linux/UNIX and Windows based operating systems.
11. Knowledge of system log forensics (Syslog, Event Viewer).
Strong working knowledge of Network security concepts and technologies.
