Contract: 12 months, renewable, full time

Objective:
The principal objective of the post is to participate in the development, direction, teaching, facilitation and examinations of the graduate entry and direct entry medicine teaching programmes.

Contract:
This appointment is available for a period of one year initially, renewable to a maximum of two further years subject to satisfactory performance.
Salary: € per annum
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Contributing to the clinical teaching programme in the junior, intermediate and senior cycle of the four and five year teaching programmes;
Contributing to the assessment of students in the junior, intermediate and senior cycles of the four and five year programmes. This includes development, delivery and evaluation of these activities;
Liaising with heads of department, project leaders for clinical competence and other relevant faculty members in planning, delivering and evaluating teaching programmes;
Providing resources and communication with student groups via the RCSI virtual learning environment;
Derving the curriculum at a number of sites e.g. assigned hospitals, RCSI Campus St Stephens Green, RCSI Sandyford Institute of Leadership & Healthcare Management;
Other responsibilities include: Conducting Research; Outcomes to be defined with relevant head of department;
Performing Clinical Work on-site in Connolly Hospital in the Rheumatology Departments;
Detail and commitment to be defined with relevant head of department;
Ensuring that all Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland policies and procedures are adhered to;
Complying with statutory legislation and Department rules and requirements in furtherance of your own and general staff welfare and safety;
Representing the best interests of the Department/RCSI at all times;
Performing such other duties as may be required from time to time.
