We are seeking to recruit an Accounts Assistant on behalf of our established client based in Charlestown, Co. MayoResponsibilities include: Monthly bank reconciliations of the bank accounts and the accurate posting to the finance system of all related transactionsSupplier reconciliations including reconciliation of the central billing accountsCash handling duties, as and when required, including bank lodgement reconciliations and car park lodgementsAssistance with the Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger on an ad-hoc basis when requiredDeal with finance queries as appropriateAdhoc finance projects to include system reviews, process improvements and efficiency measuresAny other duties relevant to this position and which can be reasonably expected and that will enhance your financial skills and experienceRequirements: Applicants must be either a business/finance graduate, accounting technician or a part qualified accountant with 2 to 3 years' experience in a similar finance role.Willingness to learn and gain experience working in a busy finance departmentExcellent communicator at all levels both inside and outside the organisationMS Excel and accounting software experience requiredSelf-motivated, self-starter who demonstrates a consistent 'can do approach'Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a teamReliable, trustworthy, and dedicated to maintaining high quality standards and achieving company resultsGood problem solving and analytical skillsAbility to work under pressure to tight deadlinesFor more information, contact Leona at Arcon Recruitment.
