Senior Speech & Language Therapist
We are seeking a Senior Speech & Language Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team supporting adults with intellectual disabilities.
About the Role
This role involves providing communication and FEDS (Feeding, Eating, Drinking, and Swallowing) support, ensuring individuals receive high-quality, person-centered care that promotes independence and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide specialist SLT services to adults with intellectual disabilities, including assessment, intervention, and recommendations for communication and FEDS needs.
* Work within a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with healthcare professionals, families, and caregivers to enhance client outcomes.
Essential Criteria
* CORU registration as a Speech & Language Therapist.
* Recognized Speech & Language Therapy qualification
* Dysphagia qualification as per IASLT standards, with independent clinical experience in FEDS management preferred.
* Minimum of three years post-qualification experience, with at least one year working with adults with intellectual disabilities.
* Experience with AAC (Augmentative & Alternative Communication), Lámh, Talking Mats, or similar communication supports.
* Full clean driving license and access to own transport (essential).
* Fluency in verbal and written English.
